My grandparents purchased their first Hereford when Dad was about 10 years old. He purchased his first registered Polled Hereford in 1956. By the 1970s the herd had grown to over 100. When we started raising bison in the early 1990s, we kept the very best of the herd, about 10 cows, and the cows are from this lineage. Read more about our farming philosophy. All mothers and sires live year-round on pasture without supplemental grain.
