1/2 Bison - all cuts
Having a freezer full of meat is the best feeling, and it's a great discount, but I know buying wholesale can be confusing if you've never done it before. $500 is a DEPOSIT to secure your spot for wholesale price for ground bison. You will pay about $2000 (including processing) for around 175lbs of meat. Wholesale bison are sold by the hanging weight at $5.00 per pound, and the hanging weight is usually around 260 lbs before it's cut into steaks, roasts, and ground. The cuts you order determine the processing costs, and you pay the locker directly. (I can help you with ordering and help you through this process.) The wholesale price is roughly $11 per pound, which is a $1000 discount.
Why isn't the price just listed as $2000? It's not an exact price because you are literally buying half the bison, and every animal is a sightly different weight.
